Here, I will tell you a little about my campus AMIKOM.
STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta is a result of the development of the Academy of Management Information Systems and Computer Science "Amikom" Yogyakarta. The Academy of Management Information Systems and Computer Science "Amikom" Yogyakarta was established on the Same campus in 1993.
In 2000, The Academy of Management Information Systems and Computer Science "Amikom" Yogyakarta Became College of Management Information Systems and Computer Science "Amikom" Yogyakarta.
Yogyakarta is the only Indonesian province of special-area has been known as a center of education in Indonesia and Javanese culture. STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta is located in the city center and at a distance of four kilometers from the airport "Adisucipto international", which is located in the eastern part of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. STMIK AMIKOM students not only from various places in Indonesia, but from abroad as well.
STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta has won numerous international research awards in the field of information technology and communications, who said that, 2 awards from the APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC), 2 awards from the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA), an award from URBANIMATION Festival, 1 award of Oto Contest web Sumitomo Corporation, 1 award from the Web Techscape Anniversary Contest, and an appreciation of the ASEAN Development Citra Award. In addition, STMIK Amikom Yogyakarta also has won several national awards from Indosat Wireless Innovation Contest, Indonesian Information Technology Federation, and the Indonesian Telematics Software Association.
